| Make Money Taking Pictures! Well, I am sure you have heard all the old stories that you can make money taking pictures. Well this is a new twist on an old idea. Thanks to new technology, this really may be a way to make extra cash doing something fun, especially if you already love taking pictures! Do you have a digital camera? Good, because to make it cost effective, you will need one, and one with a telephoto lens. Next you need to familiarize yourself with websites that you can upload your pictures to. Here is the downlo on three websites that will pay you for your stock photos. 1) iStockphoto.com will pay you 20% to 40% for each picture sold. And keep in mind that you can sell the same photo over and over again. 2) Shutterstock.com pays 25 to 30cents per download 3) Bigstockphoto.com pays 50 cents to $3.00 per download. Here a few things to keep in mind. It is important that you read the rules for submitting your photos for each website. For example your camera must be set to certain resolution guide lines. So be certain before you go buy a camera that it will take acceptable shots for the website. Also, just like in the old days, if you take pictures of any people, babies or children you must obtain model releases for each person in the photo. Now keep in mind that photos with people in them are often the most popular down loads. The model releases can be obtained from the websites and must be sent in before your photo can be released on the website for sale. Each shot will be inspected for quality and to make sure it is a new, original photo. So if you love taking pictures, shoot away, have some fun and make some money! According to Woman's World Magazine Nicole Young from Salt Lake City clears about $3,000 a month working it full time. So good luck in these tough times! Kind regards, Susan Farmer |
